No doubt about it, Cold Springs Tavern is Santa Barbara’s hidden small venue gem. Tucked into the Santa Barbara mountains Ashlee and Marcus tied the knot 5/21/16 surrounded by 100 of their nearest and dearest. We used vibrant greens, jewel tones, and pops of white to enhance the natural beauty of the venue. Dinner tables had a runner of fresh moss, flowers and votive candles. Cocktail tables had small votive arrangements in vintage brass vessels. You can follow the hashtag #cheerstothecarballos for more pics.
I originally met Kari in 2008 when we assisted at Warren Tricomi Salon in West Hollywood together. When she got engaged we started trading Pinterest boards for her Modern Tropicana dreamland. We used standard pineapples, mini pineapples, protea, palm leaves, foraged kumquats, and monstera leaves to make it all come together. With Krista Ashley at the photo helm (hello moody goodness) and Lacy of 805 Make-Up with the girls, I couldn’t ask for a better dream team.
Paradise Cove lived up to its name for Samantha and Jeremy’s wedding May 16, 2015. It was such a dream to work with Sitting In A Tree to achieve Samantha’s (of Boys and Arrows Swimwear) vision. Tapping into the B+A cool girl,l adventurer vibe used Aztec inspired vases and moonshine jugs from the late 1800’s/1900’s that I’ve collected from flea markets and antique shops for vessels. Dried pampas grass was the star of the floral show mixed with seasonal flowers, king protea, and tropical touches. As an amazing little personal touch, I hand painted names of family members that have passed on the ribbons of the bridal bouquet. Another one of my favorite pieces was the bride and grooms take home gift, the most epic playlist. It seriously has left my car since.
Photographed beautifully by Wade Carr.
This wedding sits so close to my heart. Jenn and Max are two of my favorite people on the planet and I couldn’t be more excited to be apart of their day at Firestone Vineyard in Santa Ynez, CA. This wine country wedding was made perfect with coral charm peonies, dahlia, gold and a mix of silvery and vibrant greens.
