Ashlee + Marcus

No doubt about it, Cold Springs Tavern is Santa Barbara’s hidden small venue gem. Tucked into the Santa Barbara mountains Ashlee and Marcus tied the knot 5/21/16 surrounded by 100 of their nearest and dearest. We used vibrant greens, jewel tones, and pops of white to enhance the natural beauty of the venue. Dinner tables had a runner of fresh moss, flowers and votive candles. Cocktail tables had small votive arrangements in vintage brass vessels. You can follow the hashtag #cheerstothecarballos for more pics.

Kari + Andrew

I originally met Kari in 2008 when we assisted at Warren Tricomi Salon in West Hollywood together. When she got engaged we started trading Pinterest boards for her Modern Tropicana dreamland. We used standard pineapples, mini pineapples, protea, palm leaves, foraged kumquats, and monstera leaves to make it all come together.  With Krista Ashley at the photo helm (hello moody goodness) and Lacy of 805 Make-Up with the girls, I couldn’t ask for a better dream team.

Samantha + Jeremy

Paradise Cove lived up to its name for Samantha and Jeremy’s wedding May 16, 2015. It was such a dream to work with Sitting In A Tree to achieve Samantha’s (of Boys and Arrows Swimwear) vision. Tapping into the B+A cool girl,l adventurer vibe used Aztec inspired vases and moonshine jugs from the late 1800’s/1900’s that I’ve collected from flea markets and antique shops for vessels. Dried pampas grass was the star of the floral show mixed with seasonal flowers, king protea, and tropical touches. As an amazing little personal touch, I hand painted names of family members that have passed on the ribbons of the bridal bouquet. Another one of my favorite pieces was the bride and grooms take home gift, the most epic playlist. It seriously has left my car since.

Photographed beautifully by Wade Carr.

Jennifer + Max

This wedding sits so close to my heart. Jenn and Max are two of my favorite people on the planet and I couldn’t be more excited to be apart of their day at Firestone Vineyard in Santa Ynez, CA. This wine country wedding was made perfect with coral charm peonies, dahlia, gold and a mix of silvery and vibrant greens.

With Alegria by Design at the planning and coordinating head and Marianne Wilson photographing, it was the most beautiful, magical day for these two.

Amber + Andy

What’s better than Christmas? A Christmas themed wedding. I have know these two for a better part of a decade now and when I launched the flower biz Amber had asked me to be apart of their magical day.

These two tied the knot at the Carondelet House in DTLA. We heavily laid out candles for the ceremony and entrance to the space. We stayed with the green, red, white, and a splash of darker berry for texture for the floral color scheme with gold mercury glass footed vases. Guests found their tables from marked ornaments on the most beautiful christmas tree in the foyer. Each place setting was marked with the nights menu and fresh holly.

Holiday magic.

Lindsey + Garrett

One thing I love about my job is reconnecting with olds friends. I grew up with Lindsey and I was so excited to when she asked me to be apart of their big day.

These two tied the knot at the Santa Barbara Courthouse with a small group of their nearest in dearest in tow. We kept the flowers vibrant, loose and natural for this boho babe. Do you die for that Stone Cold Fox dress?

So elegant. So so elegant.

White and green will always be such a staple color scheme. The boys were sporting ranunculus and olive boutonnieres while the girls had garden roses, ranunculus, and gardenia foliage. We didn’t need to much when you are at the Ojai Valley Inn.

For the reception, we used a mix of round, rectangular and farmhouse tables. Round tables had alternating 36″ olive trees with medium centerpieces in white washed clay pots flagged with candles and garden rose in silver tulip cups. Rectangular tables had large and small arrangements in the white washed clay pot with candles. The head table we dressed with an olive garland sprinkled with garden roses and candles.

Such a dream.

One of my favorite aspects of weddings is a la carte elopements. These two were married at the Pasadena Courthouse which is or the most beautiful courthouses I have ever laid eyes on. Or vicariously laid eyes on through these beautiful shots from my friends at  The Great Romance.

Emily + Jake

These two.

Emily and Jake were my very first couple. My very first wedding client and to this day they are still one of my most talked about weddings. So I’m going to take you back to June 2014.

I don’t want to say Emily invented vintage/rustic/romantic, but she kind of did. Gold, mercury glass, vintage brass goblets, wood accents… it was all there and it was perfect.
